Equipped with a passion for understanding process, the value of teamwork and economy, Greg has been granted a number of leadership roles in the field of development.
His early experience came from the aerospace industry, where he managed hardware and software engineering projects for GTE Labs, Litton, Lockheed-Martin and JPL that supported critical space defense missions. Success in these responsibilities created a consulting business that served other aerospace contractors in the recruitment of talented R&D teams and solved complex technical issues.
A commercial division of Procter & Gamble asked Mr. Neal to take the hardware, software and optical lead in the development of Check Robot, the first automated self-checkout system for retail stores and Advanced Promotion Technologies, the first in-store coupon and marketing fulfillment program that leveraged emerging database technologies. Both ventures went through an IPO and the technologies have proven to be a commercial success.
Recognizing an interest in launching new businesses, Greg founded Reality Based Marketing in 1994 to provide strategic, product and service planning, communications, sales support, market analysis and eCommerce solutions to clients that were committed to growth.
In 1998, CollegeView was start-up electronic publisher of recruitment services to colleges and universities worldwide and needed a marketing plan and a rollout strategy. RBM was instrumental in defining the service mix, merchandising the solutions and securing commitments from premier institutions in North America. This successful venture was purchased by Hobson’s, U.K. and is now a fully integrated web business.
Mr. Neal and the RBM team were asked to join Monster.com in “rolling up” the staff recruitment industry. The team designed a fully web-enabled talent procurement and management system. By examining the complex workflows, TalentBeach was designed and implemented to provide a new media and service delivery channel for the Human Capital Management industry. The RBM development team was responsible for all phases of this project. Additionally, RBM designed an internal talent management system called eTeam that enables employees and contractors to manage and communicate their current experience, work history and career aspirations, in a secure environment.
Greg studied the real estate development industry in Florida for mixed use and decided to commit the remainder of his career to projects that create sustainable economic growth with multiple job-producing elements for the community. Working closely with the Local, State and Federal government, his development team now owns fee-simple and controls 8,200 acres in South Central New Mexico for the purpose of creating a world-class destination for motorsports, aviation and space that is directly adjacent to the largest fresh-water lake in the State. The region has contracted with the development team to expand the municipal airport, implement a bio-fuels research facility and build 11,000 residential units that pursue LEEDs certification.
Mr. Neal has also dreamed of creating the ultimate Sports Medicine, Performance Science and Executive Wellness destination, based on his knowledge of sports marketing, demography, trends and discretionary spending. He has deliberately recruited the best physician, clinician and therapeutic network to participate in this endeavor. The anchors will include education on protocols, prototyping of new products and interactive internet services to strengthen customer adoption and satisfaction. The project will ultimately include a ambulatory surgical center, related medical services, diagnostics, nutritional science, labs, practice fields and facilities, a luxury hotel with condominiums and a lifestyle center with retail and professional services.
Since pursuing a Physics and Philosophy major at Boston University and graduating from the Business school at Babson College, Greg is known for creative thinking, managing technology, new business development and account service disciplines. Greg also serves the Tampa Bay community in a volunteer capacity with Salvation Army Relief, Mayor’s Beautification Committee, The Performing Arts Center and his local church.
